Uno Meses

At four weeks Greyson is the most content, happy thing!  He started to spit up quite a bit and started to get some baby acne.  His hair was also beginning to turn more red, and got me thinking he is a true red head!

Greyson is swaddled to sleep, sleeps with a binky, loves his soft blankie, and sleeps best in his rocker.  In fact, he even sleeps there at night.  He is a pretty good napper, although sometimes I do resort to the vibrator in the rocker or the swing to help.

He's starting to grow out of most of his newborn clothes, although the next size up is still a bit big.  That awkward, in between stage.

Like I mentioned, he had a pretty bad case of baby acne for a few weeks.  I felt so bad for him, because it really did look pretty terrible.  We finally started to take him out of the house more (to church), and I was a bit embarrassed that most people got to meet him the first time looking like this.  Of course, I still thought he was adorable, but he did look pretty sad.

He does the cutest little thing with his lip.  It has this adorable dimple and he just naturally sucks it back into his mouth.  His lip!  I really do love it so much!

Unfortunately, he had his first bout of sickness at such a little age (6 weeks).  He started out with a cold and then a cough.  I can't bear to hear such a little baby cough like that, and he had a really rough day one day where he fussed and fussed, so I took him straight into the Dr.  He ended up having STREP THROAT!  Strep.throat!  Its super rare that a baby can get strep, and my little boy had white puss pockets and a red throat.  It broke my heart.  Luckily once he got on an antibiotic he was able to kick it pretty quickly.  The dr. also gave him some craddle cap shampoo too, and said it would help with the acne.  And luckily it really did work!

Feeling better and no more yucky rash on face!  Yay!!!

Yes, I feel a bit outnumbered, but I sure love my beautiful boys!  Every. single. one. of. them.

SNOW!!!

Our winter 2012-2013 was very mild.  So in February when we finally got a good snow storm, it made us all excited!  Justin was excited to go shovel (riiiight)  And the boys had a blast playin' in the snow.

Their favorite thing to do was have dad shovel all of the snow from the deck onto the stairs and using it as a sledding hill. Jackson could have played for hours, but Jonah only lasted 10-20 mins before he is ready to come inside and get warm.

It was even nice packing snow so Daddy went out and helped them build a big snowman!!

January Jewels

Most of my days in January were spent doing this: snuggling on my newborn baby boy!  There is nothing quite like having a newborn in the home.  I loved every moment of it.  His smell, his baby sounds, his tiny features, the way he puckered his bottom lip in and sucked it up, his strands of reddish hair (wondering if it would in fact turn more red or turn to blonde).  *sigh*  He was perfect!

The big boys also took as much advantage as they could to spend time with their new baby brother.
One day Jackson asked if Greyson could "play" with them in the toy room.  They thought it was so fun to show him all their toys and just having him around made them really happy.

My brother Bryce and his wife Jamie surprised me with these beautiful flowers!  It was so nice of them and I love having fresh flowers around to keep things cheerful!

Jackson became my little helper.  There was one day that my mom took Jonah to run some erronds and I told Jackson that I was going to go lay down with Greyson for a while.  When I came downstairs to check on him he was sweeping the floor.  I thought it was so sweet that he was choosing to help out around the house.  He then told me that he would lay next to Greyson and "watch him" if I wanted to get in the shower.  Of course, I took advantage of that as well! ;)

Having a newborn does take a lot of work and there is also a lot of exhaustion involved, but I can't forget about my big boys either.  Love these goof balls!!

World's Best Mom

The Lord must have known that I needed my Momma there for the whole two weeks after baby was born, which is why Greyson decided to come the day after she got here.  Her help was so so appreciated!!

One thing I wanted to do when she got here was make a bunch of frozen meals.  Of course, I was hoping we would have a little bit of time before the baby came to do some of these things together.  Since that didn't happen, she still spent almost two days in the kitchen stocking up our freezer.  That was the BIGGEST blessing and was the best thing ever for about a month after she was gone.

She of course got her snuggle time with this little man...  absolutely nothing better than taking naps and holding a sleeping newborn in your arms.

She also spent lots of time entertaining these boys.  They love all the attention from Grandma. She really is the best!

New Years 2013

**In case anyone even reads this blog... I am actually trying to get caught back up on this blog, so I have a whole year to get caught up.  This is 2013

We had a fun time with Donna, Bill, Jeff and Emily, and our friends The Murphy's.  We ate yummy food, played games, and welcomed in the new year with some sparkling juice of course! :)
