9 months

Jackson turned 9 months on Saturday. I forgot to get a post of his 8 months, so this is what he has been up to the last couple of months.

Weighs: 9lbs 4 Oz. (26th percentile)
Height: 29 inches (71 percentile) ---again, Tall and Skinny

At 9 months Jackson:

Has learned a few new tricks. His favorite one is shaking his head "no." He obviously has no idea what he is doing, but it is so funny because it seems like he does it when something is said that could be answered with a yes or a no.

For example: "Are you going to be a good boy in the car?" shake-shake-"no"
"Do you like Uncle Lane's sweatshirt?" shake-shake-"no"
"Do you think McCain will choose Romney as a running mate?" shake-shake-"no"
"Jackson won't take an afternoon nap today!" shake-shake-"nope"



Loves to carry things in his mouth. He gets something in there and then just crawls around with it hanging out of his mouth. It reminds me of a puppy dog!

Is learning to walk. He can walk around pretty quickly if he has something to hang onto. Jeremy and Morgan let us borrow their hippo with wheels that he can walk with. He also loves this kitchen stool that he can push around in the kitchen. He is getting so good at holding onto hands and walking, and his balance is getting so good that he only needs a tiny bit of support. I'm guessing it won't be long until he takes his first steps.

Has a few favorite things. 1-Playing with his ball: this was the best $1.25 investment I've ever made. He chases it around and plays with it for a long time before he gets bored of it.
2- Opening/Closing doors, drawers, and cabinets.
3-The bathroom: pretty gross, but it's his favorite place to play (probably because of all the drawers/cabinets there are to open. I have keep the door closed to the bathroom or I'll constantly finding him playing in there.
4-Turning pages of books
5-Pulling things out of baskets, off of shelves or chairs, and dropping things onto the floor
6- Playing with the kitty cats. He chases my mom's cat, Mo, around and just laughs and squeals. Mo isn't quite as fond of Jackson... okay he HATES him really. Jackson thinks the sign (sign language) for cat is funny too.Still has NO teeth although I think I've been thinking he's teething for months (anytime he has a bad day or two I am just sure he is teething!) :)

Sleeps consistently through the night. He has always been a good night sleeper but it hasn't been consistent until just a couple of weeks ago.

Is constantly on the move! I just love watching him grow and develop and I have so much fun with him everyday! I love my Jackson!
