One of the days that Todd, Amy, and Easton were visiting, we decided to take off on another little hike. They just opened up the new Rockefeller Visitor Center and trails. All of this land belonged to the Rockefeller family for years until they just recently donated it back to the park. Their vision was to donate it back and make it all back to nature. We took the hike up to the Lake which is where the Rockefellers used to have a huge Ranch and 18 buildings. You now can't even tell where the buildings ever where. It was really pretty.
This picture is funny because both of the boys are turned looking at the water instead of the camera!
Jackson absolutely loves hiking in his little pack... too bad Justin's back doesn't like it much. Here we are resting Justin's back while the pregnant lady (Amy) takes a bathroom break! Once we got to the Lake it was so beautiful! I stole most of these nature scene pictures from Amy.On the way down Jackson was being so silly! He thought it was hilarious if I hiked next to his pack. He would reach out and I would bump into him and he would laugh and laugh and laugh. He also had a good time reaching out for cousin Easton in his pack!
More playing in the Lake...
Jackson had a much more enjoyable time at the Lake this day. We went out and brought the canoe. We put the boys in and Todd just stood out in the Lake and floated us around for a while. Easton is such a dare-devil though! He was standing up, throwing his leg over the side, and splashing daddy. I think Jackson is going to be more on the cautious side of things.
Jackson had a good time wading in the Lake! He is so cute in his little "Nemo" swimsuit! :)He also liked to crawl on shore. He so funny though because if he gets on dirt or rocks or anything (which he loves) he does this funny bear crawl. I just had to catch in to camera! :)Grandma and Grandpa enjoying their grandsons! They sure love them and these boys love them back! Easton is such a "Bapas" boy and Jackson is a Grandma's boy. It'll be interesting to see how Jackson does after we leave and he doesn't have Grandma around all the time.
