14 months

On Friday Jackson will be 14 months. I've been behind on his Dr. visits because of the move, but today I took him in for his "one year checkup." He looks fantastic says the doc. and is a healthy growing boy.
Stats:
22lbs 3 oz. (25th percentile)
32 inches (25th percentile)
He is finally proportional and not tall for his age anymore. However his head was only in the 10th percentile so I guess he's not completely proportional!

I forgot how heartbreaking shots are. He got a bunch that he missed and he got the flu shot. He has to go back in only one month for more too! Poor guy! He did great during the two finger pricks (didn't even flinch) but man did he cry on those shots. Red face, kicking legs, and tears streaming down; I felt so bad for him. Good think I was prepared and brought his Binky.

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE this boy! I absolutely LOVE being home with him and wouldn't change it for the world. Of course there are the days when I go stir crazy, feel trapped, only talk baby talk, and want to just BE ALONE!!... but most days I just love it. Justin comes home and I tell him all the new and cute adventures we had and I feel bad for him that he has to miss it all, and feel so grateful that I am there for it. However I must say that Justin does SO GOOD at coming home and spending time with Jackson before he goes to bed or before Justin goes in the back to work on homework. He misses being away from him and sure does love his boy too! What a good daddy!

Here are some recent random pics that I have taken the last little while.
Every time he learns something new that I don't want him to I cringe. For example the other day I saw him pull open the drawer under the stove and play in it. Mostly I didn't care about this one because there isn't anything dangerous or annoying about that one... but some of the other discoveries I hate are climbing on chairs (to get to the computer), opening up our nightstand drawer and pulling stuff out, playing in the garbage, opening or turning on the dishwasher, turning off the washing/drying machines mid-cycle, etc. I'm worried about the day when he learns to open the fridge. Anyways, here he is climbing into everything and anything.

I have met so many great friends here in Memphis. I am so grateful for that! A lot of them have kids Jackson's age so it makes it that much funner! I want to get a picture of Jackson with the whole group because he is the only boy amongst all the beautiful lady babies. (there are 4 girls in the ward who are within a month or two of Jackson) Here is his friend Hailey (cute name right?!) I babysat her today and it was so funny because she was sitting on the ground minding her own business and Jackson just thought it was amusing to try to sit on her lap over and over again. By the looks on their faces he apparently was loving it and she was wondering what this insane boy child was doing! :)
It is so funny to watch him interact with these girls because you can tell that he is all boy. He is constantly on the move. Usually he is off playing with his own thing or trying to steal every toy that someone else is playing with. The girls on the other hand will hold still for a few minutes at least and stick around each other. We went to the park the other day and two of the girls sat with their mom's on this swing bench for a good long while. I sat down with Jackson and he lasted about 3 swings before he wanted down! Crazy Kiddo! Well I guess that is enough about the kid for now.... did I mention how much I LOVE him!!

Oh cute boy!! Davis will be 18 months on Nov 21. I LOVE 1yr olds!! They keep a little to busy though. Jackson is just 2 pounds less than Davis - they'd be so cute together playing. Davis is my climber so they'd probably get into some trouble too.

Hey Haylee!! So I found your blog through someone in the ward, I hope you don't mind me taking some peeks at it. ;) Your little boy is SO adorable, I especially loved his little pumpkin costume. I also love your little "boo" craft! You are one crafty gal! :)

If he's sitting on girl's laps already... you better keep your eyes peeled for when he starts to date! ;) He's so cute Hay! What a funny little boy.

What a cute baby girl - jk. It was fun seeing her on another blog. Jackson is such a handsome little boy. It's so funny to hear your woes of the trash, under the oven drawer, and empty night stand drawers. It's like you're sining my tune! I'm so glad you're here. It'll be a fun few years ahead.
