First glimpse of Christmas

One of my favorite pastimes is to wrap presents! That may sound so weird, but it is true. I love to wrap presents! Even when I was little, I would always ask my mom if I could help her wrap presents when it was someone's birthday or Christmas time. As I grew older and my wrapping skills improved, she would ask me if I would wrap presents for her, and I was always thrilled!
Although there are times when it gets overwhelming when there are a lot of presents, it still just makes me happy to wrap boxes with beautiful bright paper and ribbons and bows. That is one thing I learned from my mom, who is an excellent wrapper, how to make them special and pretty. Here are my first wrapped presents for the Christmas season.

It's been somewhat hard for me to think that Christmas is only in 40 something days. The feel here in TN is quite different than out west. There it is snowing, here it is still very much FALL (not winter). Here is the view outside my porch. I love the colors here!!!

OH HAYLEE do you want to come wrap all my Christmas presents!!! I used to have Jeremy help me with the ribbons. And then whoever was home to put their finger where I needed them to hold it so I could make it nice and tight. Getting excited.

I love to wrap presents too! You did such a cute job on them! We don't have any snow out here and it is sad! We both might have green/brown Christmases.

Well, it is not snowing here. It is very warm. Almost Springtime-ish. I'm actually ready for the snow to come, when I usually DREAD the coming of winter. But it gets me in the holiday spirit and I am ready!

Oh, and I wish we lived closer - I would let you wrap ALL of my presents.

That is so awesome that you love to wrap presents, but yes it is weird, too. As I read this post and thought "what a random tidbit" I remembered in eighth grade we got out of Ms. DeJong's (remember her??) class early and we were headed to our lockers. I was holding an orange and mentioning how badly I hated peeling oranges and you peeled it for me because you loved it! I remember thinking that that was so weird, but I loved it because it meant that when I was with you, I wouldn't have to peel an orange ever again. Anyway...RANDOM

man you are on top of things! i wish i could inherit your wrapping abilities! if you remember, i am probably one of the world's WORST at wrapping presents. I always rip the paper on accident and have to use about a million pieces of tape! :)

If you were out here you'd have about the same weather. I think today it finally got down below 50. And still really only one snow fall.

I LOVE the colors of fall trees!! What a great view you have! Enjoy the changing of the season, even though the cold doesn't hit you as soon down south as it does up here...
