It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

As mentioned a few times on my blog, I love decorating... and Christmas is NO exception! I love this time of year and having a house full of Christmas decorations fills me with Christmas cheer.
We got our lovely Christmas tree a few years ago on the BYU-Idaho bulletin board for $10- decorations included. The tree was fun, but I always said that I would get rid of the grapes someday, because quite frankly it isn't really my style. And guess what? While my mom was here she spoiled me and got me some new decor for my tree! Now I have pretty red, green, and silver ornaments and a beautiful bow as a tree topper. I LOVE it! The pictures really don't do it justice on how pretty it is.
These ornaments are also good because they are plastic rather than our glass ones so the baby in the house won't get in quite as much trouble if he plays with them! (He's actually been awesome about staying out of the tree and presents.--good boy)I recently discovered a new thing going around about peoples despise of "blog braggers"... and I am sure I am peoples number one peeve of someone who "brags on their blog," BUT these next pictures aren't for Blog Bragging purposes. I am simply posting them because
#1- I love when other people post craft ideas on their blogs because it sparks my interest and helps me come up with things to do and ideas myself.
And #2- It's not bragging because these next two things were actually my mom's ideas.
That being said... here are my latest Christmas Crafts:The SANTA letters are paper mache letters painted in red and green and then scrapbook paper mod-podged on the front. The tree in a bucket is just tree branches from outside and beaded icecicles hung on the branches. Anyway, way fun ideas for anyone who wants a quick easy Christmas craft.
There I am done "bragging" :)

Good for you for posting. Crafts are a number one hit on blogs for me. Makes me want to keep checking for more =). Great tree and PS I forgot to tell you that I LOVE beading too! You might remember my mom and I had a bead biz while I was in college. Way fun! Especially baby bracelets and earings (my personal favs!)

But who knows! I not very crafty. I need someone with me to come over and take my hand and walk me through it.. First, linna to squirt out the white paint...ect. =)

Haylee-- you can post your crafts anytime you want! I think it is so fun to see people's crafts and their ideas. There's been little crafts I have done and sometimes I wonder too if I should post them. I don't want people to think I am bragging, I just want to share the moment and they get the idea as well if they want to use it.
Soooo... keep it up Hay! NO SHAME! =)

I love the santa letters and the tree, so creative. The plastic balls instead of glass ones is brilliant.

I thought bragging was what blogging was all about!! I love reading your blog--and you can put whatever you want and i will still read it.

I'd like to know what blogging is actually? Is it bragging or is it informing? I like to think of it as informing and if that includes some "bragging" well then brag away!!! I love the new tree too. I LOVE the santa letters. Oh and that little boy holding the ornaments dang I LOVE HIM TOO

Very pretty! And I love all your homemade decor! I say that blogs are for whatever we want to share and remember and if that includes things that may sound like bragging, then too bad:)! I love seeing your crafts!

I have your blog e-mailed to me and I always forget to comment! I love the tree, it looks very Iola-ish! You two come up with some cute ideas. Don't worry you don't brag nearly as much as I do! :)
I wish I was as decorated as you!
