Come with me on a tour of where we are spending our summer.
This is the view from our back yard. I will never get sick of looking at those majestic TetonsThe view as you are looking out of our front door. The entrance of our yard. The building in the back is one of the five cabins my parents rent out (www.moultonranchcabins.com) My parents keep their place looking immaculate. Here is ONE of my moms amazing gardens. (She will try to convince you that they aren't that great... but she lies)Her flowers are beautiful and she has the cutest things set up all throughout the yard. This is one of my favorite displays. The road that we live on is called "Mormon Row." It was dubbed this name because when the Saints were commanded to establish areas in the west, many came and homesteaded on this dirt road. (Including many of my ancestors) This road was thriving with peoples homes and ranches, a school, a church, etc. Eventually people started selling their land to the National Park. Luckily for us my Great Grandfather was the only one who didn't sell out. That is how we have this piece of treasure.
Unfortunately the Park decided that they wanted everything "back to nature" and let buildings fall apart or destroyed them. After many years, they decided that the history of these old buildings were actually worth restoring. One of the few buildings that still stands today is this barn. It was built by my Great Great and Great Grandfathers. It may look familiar to some of you because it was actually once dubbed as the most photographed barn in America. My grandfather used to say, "If I had a nickel for every person who took a picture of that barn I would be rich." It is so true because as you can see there are ALWAYS a few people taking shots of that barn. Anyway, I just love this place! I love the history behind it and the beauty of it. It will always be my personal heaven on earth!

It is beautiful there! I hope you have a great summer!
Have you ever noticed that a home has a heart beat? When it is loved and nourished ... it's easy to tell THIS little home on Mormon Row has a heart beat. I know because, I grew up on this little green acre - Heaven on Earth!
WOW what a post.....Makes me want to come right out and just stand there and take in the beauty. I TOTALLY agree with Grandma Gradner This little home does have a heart beat!
I've never been there, but it looks gorgeous! I grew up close to the Rockies in Canada and then Utah while I was going to school. One of the things I miss most in Memphis is being able to look out my window and see some mountains
SO beautiful! You are one lucky girl! Since you are living in Jackson right now, I was hoping you could give me some ideas of fun things to do there for a reunion. We've done the Snow King Resort stuff, but I'm hoping for ideas that we may not know about or might overlook. Thanks!
Ahhhhhhh, I want to jump in the car right now!! It truly is a special place... glad you're enjoying it!
I'd totally be one of those people taking a picture of the barn. What a beautiful place!!
