A couple of weeks ago we had a Easter egg hunt at a member of our ward's house. They go all out with this hunt, with over 2000 eggs! Afterwords they had a few activities including a small "petting zoo" with Donkeys, Ducks, Bunnies, and little Chicks. Jackson is pretty timid around animals so he didn't really like all that. He DID however take his picture with the big Easter Bunny and he loved it! I was quite surprised he wasn't scared. (I decided to just do my scrapbook layout this time because of the multiple pictures) Saturday evening we colored eggs. Jackson was so excited about this. During the last little bit of Conference we told him he had to clean up and then we could color eggs. He cleaned right up and then shouted over and over "Color eggs! Come on guys! Color eggs!" When conference ended he went right over to the aprons and grabbed his and took Justin's over to him and said "OKAY! Egg time!"
We only had one mishap while dyeing. Justin didn't know that 2 of the eggs in the carton weren't hard boiled and Jackson dropped it right into the blue dye. :)After we dyed the eggs we told him that the Easter Bunny was going to come while he was sleeping and hide our eggs around the house. He woke up and told us the Easter Bunny came! He loved his basket. He got "Buzz Lightyear" aka Toy Story the movie, some pjs and clothes, 2 new cars, toy store fruit snacks, Elmo puzzle, and "treats." I think he basically opened each egg and ate the treat right away (good thing I only put one jelly bean in each egg)I cooked my very first Holiday meal. We had a really yummy honey ham, garlic parmesan rolls, asparagus, and twice baked potatoes. Yum!! Then after the last session of conference I let Jackson help make our ice cream cake. He LOVED helping in the kitchen. I call this "The Egg Hunt Cake" (the graham crackers are the dirt, the coconut is the grass, and the jelly beans are the eggs) :)
Hope everyone had a happy Easter!!

Don't you feel all grown up making your first Holiday meal? I did the first time. Glad you all had a great day. Jeff did so well with his egg hunt too. He found all 12 eggs all by his self!!!
