Fall Flashback

We signed Jackson up for soccer this fall.  He loved it!
He was actually too young by about a month, but we still thought he would love it and do great.  We inquired and found out as long as Justin helped coach his team, they would let me play.  Since it is my blog, now is my time to brag. Although he was the youngest and littlest on the team, he was probably the star player.  We kept little stats (cause that is how Justin and I are ;) ) and he was the lead scorer with 11 goals.
(Justin missed team pictures because of a work meeting, but he was co coach all season long)

We were excited because the first game he played they whistled the beginning play, he got the ball, kicked it past everyone and went and scored a goal!  It was awesome.  There were a couple games where he didn't score at all and he would whine and cry because he didn't score.  Although he have fun watching him score goals we constantly reminded him that he doesn't always have to score and that as long as he tries his best that's all that matters.  He would also cry often after games because the game was over and he wanted to keep playing... that boy,  he's our sports lover! ;)
And look how dang cute he is in that uniform!

Another great idea via Pinterest.  Cold fall/winter days can get hard on the kids.  I thought we would have a little fun one afternoon cooped up in the house.  I made a car track with masking tape.
It was fun and it kept the boys occupied for a little while anyway.

My mom was visiting when "Knee Deep" came on the radio and we both started dancing and singing, which led to our proclamation of love for Zac Brown Band.  I mentioned the concert that was coming to Memphis around Justin's birthday and how we had looked into tickets once, but ruled it out cause of cost.  She then had the brilliant idea to get us a couple of tickets so we could go out and celebrate Justin's birthday.
ZBB puts on a rockin awesome concert and we LOVED it!!

I love the picture of Jackson with his hands on his hips and foot on the ball. He looks so proud. I was happy to get to go to a couple of his games. Thanks for catching up on the blog. I love to read about my grandsons.
