Day 4 - Cozumel

Our last port was Cozumel, Mexico.  We wanted to spend the day as a family at the beach.  So we read online and found a family friendly place called Chankanaab.  It is actually considered a National Park.  It had a beach, good snorkeling, and dolphin and seal shows.  We thought it would be perfect for the boys.

(unfortunately we had a big blurry fingerprint on our camera lens all day long, so all our pictures have a big blurry spot)

We picked our spot for the afternoon and played in the sand for quite a while.

This area was good for snorkeling, but the only problem was that the beach didn't go straight into the water.  You had to walk down the rocks and then it was pretty deep water.  Here are the boys putting their feet in the Ocean for the first time.  We did go snorkeling, but I will do another post all about that.

We went to the sea lion show that afternoon.  After the show they let the kids come up and get a kiss from the seal.  (Of course they intentionally block your view so you can't get your own picture in order to force you to buy theirs).  I did end up getting a couple of "okay" pictures.

They had one area that was more shallow and led right up to the water for the kids to play in.  We played there for quite awhile with our buckets and shovels and then explored the beach for a while before we had to catch the ship for departure.

On the way back to the ship we stopped at a few shops and the boys picked a couple of maraca's for their souvenirs.

Jonah was so exhausted that he fell asleep in my arms as we were waiting in line to get back onto the ship.  If anyone knows our kids, this NEVER happens unless they truly truly can't take it anymore.
