Yes Jackson, Mommy has Owie eyes! Here is the story:
While we were in Cinci my totally sweet sister in law wanted to give the girls an afternoon of pampering. She works at a skin care/plastic surgery place and one thing they do is eye lash tinting. (For those who don't know, it is basically dying your eyelashes, like you would dye your hair) So on Wends afternoon we had a good time getting out and making our eyelashes look pretty! (who doesn't love getting pampered?!)
Thursday afternoon one of my eyes started to get red and itchy. Soon it started to swell a little bit. I woke up the next morning and both eyes were pretty swollen and red. They were constantly "running" with tears. We were pretty sure I was having an allergic reaction to the tinting. I thought it looked bad here:
Well it just constantly got worse. They ran like faucets. They hurt. I couldn't see. They were so swollen that it started to swell in my whole face, under my eyes and into my cheeks, my nose, and above my eyebrows. It was bad. This picture I took Saturday night, it was by far the worse on Sunday (even worse than this... I didn't get a pic.) I went to the Eye Center often. They started treating me kind of low key at first because I am breastfeeding, but it obviously wasn't working. So finally they got me on some pretty strong steroids and unfortunately that meant I couldn't nurse for 2 weeks. Luckily my mom was there and she was able to get her flight changed and she stayed a week longer to be with me. She is the best; there is something about having your mom with you when you don't feel good that just makes a difference.

It wasn't very fun at the time, but it is all cleared up.... and kind of funny to look back and see that poor swollen face!
