5 years

May 27th was mine and Justin's 5 year anniversary! Wow, its hard to believe sometimes. When we were talking about it Justin was like "5 years... that's like 2 and 1/2 missions that I have been married to you" We had an enjoyable evening. Our friends babysat the boys for us and we were able to get out on a date (which lately has been way too few and far between that we get to do that) We went to a fancy restaurant called J.Alexanders. It was THE best stake I ever had and the rattlesnake pasta was pretty divine as well (it wasn't made with rattlesnakes, it was just the title). The steak was so good I didn't even put ketchup on it (yes, I put ketchup on my steak). We splurged and spent the most on a meal than we ever had (I'm sure we've had more expensive... we just weren't paying for it!) :)

Then Justin took me shopping and I got this little outfit at Old Navy. (We have both been in need new clothes and for some reason we spend all our money on two little boys and not ourselves... hmm...)
And here's the big 5 year shebang... a 2nd car!!! I guess this wasn't officially for our 5 year Anniversary, as we had planned on getting another car sometime while in optometry school, but we'll just pretend. We have gone 5 years with only one car and with people moving and Justin's crazy summer school schedule, the car pool was no longer working. We both realized that I wasn't about to be stuck at home all day without a car and so we got me this baby.
It is called a Kia Rondo. It is one of those crossover vehicles so it does have a 3rd row (a tiny one) and can fit 7 passengers. We figured it will work for at least one more kid and then maybe when/if the 4th comes along I'll suck it up and become a mini van mom! :)
I had to throw in this last picture because if you look in the window you can see Jackson's cute little face poking out! :)
I am so grateful for such a great husband. He has been wonderful to me. He is loving and supportive and such a hard worker. He is also an amazing father to our little boys and I couldn't be happier with anyone else! I love him!

Congrats on your 5 year. You both deserved the 2nd car and I do love the color too. I wish I could ever talk your dad into a color like that. All he wants is red, white or silver. Can't wait to see the new ride and the boys up close and personal.

I love your hair! So cute! I have been a mini-van mom for months now and I will never go back, as long as I have little kids! So much room for all the kids stuff! Cute car though!

Happy belated anniversary! You look so great!! I saw a car just like yours driving around today - it's cute... and I'm sure you'll love having the freedom to get out whenever. Some days that's the only thing that keeps me sane!
