He is really into doing things that are very interactive (which is good for his development but sometimes hard on me when he literally demands my attention his entire waking hours). He LOVES things like, coloring/painting, projects of any type, puzzles, games, play dough, etc. Things that are fun, but require some adult supervision.
Anyway, I would like to spend some time doing things with him on a regular basis, but I am laking on the creativity.... this is where YOU (my fellow blog reader) comes into play! I know a lot of you are mom's of young children, and I am just wondering if you have found some websites or blogs you love that spark your creative side.... little projects or games you can involve your children in. I know I can google things, but then I end up spending too much time on websites I don't like trying to find something I like. So if you have a blog or a website that has been helpful to you, I (and Jackson too) would love if you could pass it my way!

Just find what they like and do that with them. I bet then he won't be so needy of you! Sadie went through a tiny little phase, and as soon as I started following her into her room and played etc etc etc with her, she backed off the fits and tantrums.
good luck!
But here are some things the girls have loved. I have a huge tote of kids craft stuff-glue, pom poms, foam, lots of paper, popcicle sticks, etc etc. We just tore up paper and glued them to a paper tree trunk to make fall trees. I will text you a pic. They loved it. =)
Sorry Hay! I hear kids go through those stages and Jerika I am sure will soon too. Hang in there. ;)
I have heard "Quiet Books" work wonders. We had one as a kid, and depending on our stage is which pages really intersted us. But we ALL LOVED the book! We ALL wanted to play with it. My mom made it so it had removable pages and boy was that a life saver for her and us. Some of the "tasks", if you will are somewhat challenging, so kids love them.
I hear they are lots of work to make, but are SO SO WORTH IT. I want to make one, but I have some other things to work on first.
I don't want to parade my friends ideas on line of her quiet book, because I don't think she would appreciate that. So if you want to make a quiet book, or even just check it out, put a comment on my blog with your email address. I'll send you the link to her blog. She had the CUTEST ideas for a book. If not, that's okay too. Hope you find something to help you out!
notimeforflashcards.com is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! It's FULL of ideas and fun crafty things. Really, you'll thank me after you check it out! :)
I don't have a website, but I can give you come up with some activities we did at school..?
I like to go to the familyfun.com website! They have a lot of fun ideas that go with the seasons. Good luck and hang in there!
haylee,
one thing that i remember Tess loving at lot at that age was painting with saving cream on the table. I know its kind of messy. But it wipes off with a wet cloth and if the table is clear you can pretty much let them draw all over it like finger painting! it also cleans your table! =)
I don't know about any websites right off the top of my head but I can tell you Kate loves to do those things too. If I spend an afternoon or a few hours doing those activities she is good for a few days or a week. Sometimes I let her do playdoh or paint at the kitchen table while I make dinner or do the dishes. You are doing a good job, I know motherhood is over whelming at times!
I have been looking at homemade halloween decorations. It looks like he would like making his own things?? There was a pattern for making your own pumpkins, although you can do that on your own pretty easily. They had homemade halloween treats that looked like fun too!
I have my kids do lots of chores... I try and make a game of whatever i am doing and let them help me. It is the only way that I get anything done, and they actually enjoy it too. Hy loves taking the silverware out, Addy helps fold clothes etc. Don't ask why my house still never stays clean...
Today we glued noodles to a paper, and then they painted newspaper with water. Random but entertaining. The other day we made a color scrapbook by finding things outside that were different colors and then gluing/taping them to paper. Pass on any great ideas you find!!
