The long awaited Graduation Post

As most of you know, Justin and I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho on April 10th. It was a great event and we are excited to begin the new stages of life. To me, the graduation was really exciting, knowing that I probably won't be in school for many many years, if ever again. To Justin, it was a little anti-climatic because he knew that he is just going straight back to school for another four years. Here are some pictures of the event:The event was a two day thing. First, there was the banquet. It was a really yummy dinner and President Clark and Elder Ballard spoke. It was really good, and we even got to shake Elder Ballard's hand there (he walked right past us). Jackson was a good boy and he sat on Grandpa Johnson's lap most of the time. He was feeding him mashed potatoes and cooked carrots. Suddenly Justin looked down at Jackson and his face was BRIGHT red. He immediately said, "Is he okay? Can he breath??" My immediate thought was that he choked on one of the carrots. But soon the color came back to his face and we realized he was "just doing his business." It was really scary at first, but then kind of funny in the end.Right after the banquet was the Convocation Ceremony. This is where we go with our department and actually walk through and get our diploma covers. It was neat because Elder Ballard came to our department and spoke. We didn't get any pictures of us going through the line, but here is a couple afterwords. The next day was the actual Commencement Ceremony. Elder Ballard again spoke and gave a really good and really interesting address. He talked about how we should use our online communication networks (such as blogs, facebook, etc) to share the gospel. He said that people will see these blogs, and that we should make mention of our beliefs and testimonies. He said that the day after President Hinckley's death he was the second most mentioned name on the entire Internet because so many people mentioned him in their blogs. It was interesting. Thanks to everyone who supported us!! Donna made a special trip to come to Graduation and to see her new grand babies (Jeremy and Morgan who just had twins... they live in Pocatello). Well, she got here and ended up getting very sick. We took her to the emergency room the first night she was here and she ended up getting bronchitis (which explains the mask). She didn't get to come to the ceremonies and she only saw the babies through Jeremy and Morgan's apartment window. Poor lady!! BUT we do know that she loves us and we were glad she was there (even though she was on her sick bed the whole time!)
We had a nice luncheon at my parents house and my grandparents came to give their congratulations.

(Just had to through this picture in of the adorable baby laughing and playing with his grandpa! He had a hay day with the wrapping paper from our presents!)
