Last but DEFINITELY not least...

Look who else came to visit?!
That is right, my dear old Mommy came to visit for a week. Its a good thing I have 2 of her grandson's to entice her to come. She called me in Feb telling me all about how she was going to visit Bryce & Jamie in California. Then she made her flights for May to Cinci to visit Lane & Whit. Then she was going to drive to Boise for the weekend to see Todd & Amy.... then proceeded to tell me that she has been looking for flights to Memphis and could find nothing that was a decent price (go figure).
However, about a week after than conversation took place she surprised me by calling and telling me she found decent tickets and was coming in March!! (She saw pictures on the blog of Jonah and couldn't stand the thought of him growing up without her)
We were excited to have her here!!
Most of the week was pretty chill. We hung out together, watched a chick flick, went shopping and ran errands, did some crafty things, and just enjoyed each others company. She spent a lot of quality time with Jackson playing "Talk to you" with his cars. (In case anyone cares to know what "talk to you" is all about, it is an annoying game I invented to spark his imagination that I never should have taught him because that is ALL he wants to do EVERYDAY and EVERY MINUTE!! :) He designates you a specific car--I am always Chick Hicks from the movie cars, and my mom was dubbed a big red race car. Then you are suppose to talk and drive and be this car character. Its quite exciting for a 2 1/2 year old boy) :)
I had to throw this picture in of my mom enjoying her afternoon nap under my quilt I am working on. She taught me to hand quilt and this is the project she helped me with while she was here.
On Saturday we actually got out and did something fun. First we went the to Circus. I was excited about this because I had never been to a real circus and I knew Jackson would enjoy it. We had a good time and he STILL talks about how he had fun at the circus seeing the Tigers, Elephants, Clowns, and Motorcycles. After the circus we headed down to Tunica, Mississippi. (My mom's first time to MS) We went to the River and did a 2 mile nature walk. It was really pretty and I would like to go again when the trees are in bloom...This picture cracks me up! Jonah never fell asleep but instead just kinda moaned the whole time. He looked miserable! I don't know, maybe he was stroller sick or something; or still over stimulated by the circus. Despite the misery on his face, he still was a perfect angel. And of course, what would it be like to go to the forest of the South and NOT swing on some big Tarzan vine?!?And who wants to just go UNDER the gazebo when you can climb up it and do the monkey bars across?! Thanks for the visit Mommy dear!! We LOVED having ya!

We went and did the river walk last night! It was closed because of high waters, but we decided to walk as much as we could. It was very pretty. The trees are starting to get leaves!!
